My Japanese Journey so far has been so fulfilling and fun. I grew a lot in developing my speaking skills in general, as I was forced to step out of my comfort zone many times in class. This really helped me in other areas of my life, as I began to engage more with people in class, at events, and with friends in general. It was also great to challenge myself to a new language, especially Japanese as my second ever. Reaching the end of the semester in a good place meant a lot to me, because I often doubted myself and my ability. Having reached the end, I am so grateful for the Notre Dame program, my sensees, and my super fun classmates, who made the whole thing so worth it.
